This isn't relating to the network ;)
check the /etc/host.conf to ensure you first look at hosts priori to
bind:
order hosts,bind
otherwise, bonobo may be confused trying to resolve your localhost on
your isp dns or something like that.
That's Ok :

This could be some weirdness with bonobo and machine name resolution.
Otherwise, after upgrading, did you killed the oaf or bonobo deamon ?
(like bonobo-slay and oaf-slay - note that it's better run those without
gnome being started).

When searching in my "ps aux":
There is a "bonobo-activation-server".

Yup, this is the bonobo activation server as the name says :)
Have you killed it or rebooted your computer since the upgrade ?
If not, it may happen that the old activation server is still running
and is incompatible with the new one.
I have just rebooted my computer ; it obviously needed it, but this did not solve my problem.
