I agree that this is annoying. The corresponding bug report can be
tracked at:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142695
(should be a pretty simple fix if anyone wants to try out some Planner
hacking :)

This has been fixed a while ago in the development version and will be
in 0.12 that we are currently working towards.
