Hmm, while looking at this i found an issue that would cause "flatpak
update" to not update i386 apps:
https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak/pull/1551
However, I still don't see how it could try to update to the 64bit version.

Okay, I'm not sure which dir to run that from but I should be able to find
it.
For the first issue, "No entry in remote summary", it looks like flatpak
is searching for a 64-bit application, but according to `flatpak remote-ls
-d flathub | grep scouts`, the app in Flathub is 32-bit. I'm not sure why it
does that though. What version of flatpak are you using?
It appeared running 0.8, continues running 0.11.
