ostree build error

Hi,
I am compiling ostree on Ubuntu 16.04, and getting the following error.
checking for OT_DEP_GPGME... no
configure: error: Need GPGME_PTHREAD version 1.1.8 or later
I have tried:
1. installing libgpgme*
Please help.
