I was about to post something similar about punctuation levels, when I
change focus to emacs then back, say, to google-chrome, the
punctuation level will return to some kind of default, not respecting
where I left it. This is with orca master on ubuntu 18.04.
cheers

Hi,
sometimes, for example when I want to play iptv, I want to temporarily=20
change speech volume. So, I set shortcut for decrease and increase=20
speech volume in Orca. It works, I can decrease volume, but when I=20
switch to another application or to the desktop, volume returns to=20
Orca's default volume. So, is this correct? Orca 42.3, speech-dispatcher=20
0.11.3, espeak-ng, Fedora 36 Mate edition.
Thanks,
Pavel
