Re: [orca-list] Installing Orca from Source in Fedora

Hello,

In my Fedora install, which orca reports Orca as being installed at /usr/local/bin. So I did try configuring Orca to install there. I also tried a separate install. But running Orca still brings up the error in Line 46 about there not being an Orca module. It's strange.

Well what I always do when installing orca from source, is to make
sure I use the same directory where the previous version was -- for
instance if orca was always in /usr/bin then in the autogen line I use
--prefix=/usr and that generally works.  If you have problems doing it
that way, after you run the autogen, just do
./configure --prefix=/usr
and that should work fine -- assuming that your previous version of
orca was installed there.
