Re: [orca-list] Stuttering speech in progressbars

Howdy,

Its not known to me, but you can try Pipewire. Here i have very good results here using it. Pulse also
shutters here in some rare computer games but Pipewire doesn’t. So maybe this helps.

Cheers chrys

Hey hey,
I have noticed that before, whenever a program displays a progressbar of some kind, the speech output is
severely broken up.

At least running Jamulus (live audio jamming over the internet) it also affected the audio of the program,
until I managed to leave the window and thus permanently move the focus from the progressbar.

I am currently running Orca 40.0 (ArchLinux package) on a Mate desktop 1.26, gtk version 3.24.30 .

The PulseAudio output is routed through JACK (Jack Audio Connection Kit), if that makes a difference.

Is that issue known? Is there a workaround perhaps?

Best wishes and many thanks,

Jeanette
