Wireplumber is reportedly now being used by default in Fedora as the
Pipewire session manager.
It is also available under Arch Linux, where I installed it.
At the gdm login, I get no speech, but it finds my attached USB audio
headphones after I log in and works well at that point within the
graphical session via Speech-Dispatcher.
Switching to a console and running Emacspeak gives audio - but to the
system's primary audio device rather than the USB device.
Has anyone in the Linux accessibility community been here before me and
straightened out the configuration? Where should I start?
I think the usual permission issues might be going on here.
