[orca-list] Orca chokes on some messages in Evolution

Orca 40 and Evolution 3.38.4
This seems to be a long-standing problem, but I was uncomfortable with
sending any information about it to this list, because most of the
times I saw the problem, it was in private messages or messages to
other lists. But I do have an example of a message sent to the Orca
list where I can reliably reproduce the problem 100%. The problem seems
random, meaning that it occurs only with random messages rather
infrequently, but if it happens once on a certain message, it will
happen each time the message is opened, and even survives reboots. As
an example of the problem, a message was sent to this list this morning
by Jonesy Cee with the subject "Re: [orca-list] Paying for one-on-one
help. $15 per hour over Zoom."
Upon opening this message, I expect to be able to read it, but the
reliably reproduceable result is that I am presented with what would
appear to be a blank message. Nothing is read, and the caret appears
not to move. This seems to be worse than what I was experiencing some
time back, as it used to be that a paragraph may be missing, but it
appears now that the whole message is not being spoken. Also, I once
could work around the problem using SayAll to read the message, but now
I need to copy and paste the message body into a text editor in order
to be able to read it, since all I hear using SayAll now is "new line,
new line, block quote." I have a debug.out at

If a copy of the message no longer exists to be able to reproduce the
problem, I can forward the message as well, since it was sent to a
public list, but I fear that the simple act of forwarding will modify
it enough to no longer cause the problem. I hope I can provide enough
information to maybe get this fixed.
