I can't answer your Fedora questions, but note that Arch Linux already
has a number of GNOME 40 packages. It may be a suitable option if trying
GNOME 40 is your primary objective.

Hi there!
When downloading the Fedora 34 beta image and starting it in a VM, then pressing Super+Alt+S to start Orca,
speech is totally distorted and in essence does not work. I can shut down Orca again, and the distorted
noises stop, but in essence: Unlike the Fedora 33 live CD, the 34 live CD is totally broken what Orca is
concerned.
Two questions:
a) Is this known? I think I saw it mentioned somewhere that it was, and that it was hoped to be fixed, but I
cannot find that reference any more. Also, Redhat's Bugzilla is not helping. Is there a bug on file for this,
and where can I find it if that's the case?
2. Is there a way to install Fedora 34 without installing that live image first, and is there a chance the
sound will work, then?
The reason I am asking about the beta: I would like to try out GNOME 40.
Thanks!
Marco
