I don't know since which version of Orca it happened.
It'd be useful to determine, for instance throught git bisect, that'd
help a lot to determine what broke it.

Being the first commit that triggers the issue does not make it
necessarily "guilty", but that's a strong clue where things are getting
wrong, thanks!
What is the locale your orca is running in? You can make sure by sending
us the content of /proc/$(pgrep orca)/environ
