Re: [orca-list] orca jumps from some lines while selecting a text on Firefox

Although what you say sounds reasonable, I can select a text of a web
page opened into Firefox in OS Windows easily but when I open the same
web page into Firefox in Linux I can not select it correctly. Anyway I
will expose that process to a sighted person to find out what happen
during selecting on Firefox and report it to you.

What do you mean by "jumps"? Like what does Orca say versus what should
it say?

If instead you're talking about what physically gets selected, Orca
does not control text selection; the browser does. Orca just presents
the selected text in response to accessibility events from the browser.

You can test this problem your self. Open this web page in Firefox

try to select the first answer entirely, you will see Orca jumps
while
selecting.
I'm using Ubuntu 20.4
