Re: [orca-list] thunderbird: how to indicate whether message are read/unread

Hello,

Most likelly I am missunderstanding as it sounds very simple to me.

I have configured thunderbird not to show message pane for me. Menu bar -> View -> Rozmiestnenie -> Message pane not checked .

Then when opening individual messages I have configured thunderbird to open it in a new window not in a new tab. Menu bar -> Edit -> Preferences. Navigate with the tab key until you hear Open messages in pane new tab and adjust it to new window.

Now when you navigate in the list of messages you should hear something like

Re: [orca-list] thunderbird: how to indicate whether message are read/unread Peter Vágner Unread

So the word unread is a part of the accessible description for each item which has not been read yet.

If you press the enter key the message will get open in a new window and by default after 5 seconds thunderbird considers it as read.

Does it make sense and is this you are asking for?

Greetings

Peter

Hi. I have Thunderbird 78.12.0 and I am using Orca master within a
couple of weeks. I would like to know how to get each line of the
inbox to indicate whether the message is read or unread? I looked
through the menus, but did not see anything obvious, but I probably
missed something.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
