Re: [orca-list] thunderbird - typing and reading with orca

I don't know about speech as I rarely have it turned on but I know with braille and the default installs of orca and thunderbird on ubuntu 20.04 I do not see on the display what I am typing and in fact I don't know exactly where the focus is. I can see my message by going out of the email I am typing and coming back in.

Not a serious issue as I only use thunderbird for a couple of lightly used email accounts and do most of my email with alpine.

Hi Daniel, all.

Composing email in Thunderbird should just work. And it does for me.
Anyone else seeing this problem?

Hello everyone

When using the thunderbird email client latest version. On Ubuntu
Mate
20.4 LTS

Orca doesn't announce what one is typing / deleting.

Are there keystrokes that I am missing to be able to compose emails
in
the programme?

Work around is currently to type my text in Plumer and paste said
text
into application.

with kind regards
