Caja is spamming the heck out of Orca. :( You press Return in line 1828 of your debug.out. You release return in line 8552. There are 6700 lines in between, most of which look like this:

14:10:17.234089 - EVENT MANAGER: object:active-descendant-changed for [tree table | Vue en liste] in [application | caja] (3, 0, [DEAD])

14:10:17.234264 - ERROR: Event any_data contains potentially-defunct child/descendant

14:10:17.234423 - EVENT MANAGER: object:selection-changed for [tree table | Vue en liste] in [application | caja] (0, 0, 0)

14:10:17.234500 - EVENT MANAGER: Not ignoring due to lack of cause

14:10:17.234621 - EVENT MANAGER: Queueing object:selection-changed [tree table | Vue en liste] (0,0,0) from [application | caja]

The ones that say ERROR are being ignored by Orca. I'll see if I can safely ignore the selection-changed but that might prove trickier or not doable.

Caja shouldn't be spamming us that badly, seeming to emit two events for each and every file that is going away do to the folder change....

expected result:
orca does not lag and directly announces the first name of the file


I've had this bug for some time but I didn't know if the fault was
orca
or caja
