Hey Jason.
I'll take a look later today/tomorrow. However what you describe sounds
like missing window:activate and/or state-changed:active events.
Thanks!

To reproduce (noting that I've only encountered this in the MATE
desktop
environment, and cannot as yet reproduce it under GNOME 40):
1. Close Chromium with Alt-F4 (with other application windows open).
2. Press Alt-Tab to attempt to switch to another application. The
focused object of the application switched to is presented.
Result: Orca is unable to access the application switched to. Typing
text into that application (e.g., a terminal) achieves nothing. The
only
two work-arounds that I have found are:
a. Type Insert-Space to open an Orca Preferences dialogue
b. Alternatively, immediately after closing Chromium, type Ctrl-Alt-D
to
move to the desktop before Alt-Tab to move to another application
window.
Although this can be reproduced easily with Chromium, I have
encountered
the same issue when closing LibreOffice.
The logs are too large to send to the list. I can supply the file
separately however. The only immediately suspect issue in the logs is
that, even when the events are clearly coming from other windows and
Chromium has been closed, Orca continues to use the Chromium script.
In the scenario in the logs, I had a terminal and an instance of
Mozilla
Thunderbird running in other windows at the moment of exiting
Chromium.
Can others reproduce?
In terms of priorities, it obviously isn't urgent, as there are
work-arounds. I've tested with the latest Orca from Git.
