For EPUB, an interesting option is Thorium Reader:

I don't know whether there's a Debian package. If not, you would need to
install it from source. As it's an Electron application, the Chromium
support in Orca should work with it.

Hello,
first of all, what exactly do you mean by eBooks?
If you mean publications in .epub format, a very good way to read them
is through a browser extension called EpubReader:
https://www.epubread.com/en/
It is compatible with Firefox as well as Chrome, and allows you to
read books in full html5 mode i.e. there are structures such as
headings, links, tables, math expressions etc.
As for other formats, I usually convert them to .txt and read in any
text editor, it's the fastest way imo.

hello,
I have Debian Bullseye, Mate and the latest release of Orca that is
available on Debian. What ebook readers would work with this setup?
Thanks,
John
