Hello,
I am using Debian Bullseye, Mate and the latest Orca. This is puzzling. It sems that Orca handles the advance
button itself but depends on xbrlapi to handle enter,
backspace, etc. Things worked until I rebooted yesterday. Something must have changed.
Thanks,
John

I have this problem from time to time and it's usually because xbrlapi
has crashed or not been started. For what it's worth I usually start
xbrlapi via the alt-f2 dialogue rather than in a terminal.
cheers

I tried typing xbrlapi in terminal and even restarting Mate. No luck. Orca =
still does not respiond to the keyboard on the Braille display.

As far as I know keyboard emulation on the braille display is handled by
xbrlapi, not Orca. Do you have xbrlapi running?
