I would suggest finding a good book or two over at bookshare.org. There 
are numerous books available there directly from the publishers. 
Unfortunately, accessibility varies depending on the book.

There is an abundance of Linux-related books available, some of which I 
would expect to focus on security issues. You should also be able to 
find more general books that are not focused specifically on a 
particular operating system.
