I was under the impression that Ardour had various interfaces, including 
ardour-gtk, which could possibly work with Orca. If not, only the 
interface would need to be reworked, not the entirety of the 
application. This could also mean that the interface would not need to 
be reworked at all, but a new interface on top of the supporting 
libraries could be developed with accessibility in mind.


Actually, I really do hope it can be reworked or fixed, as this sounds 
very much like something I'll need for a project I would like to do in 
the near future. Proprietary alternatives and other operating systems 
will not work for me however, as it would mean purchasing an entirely 
different computer either way, and I'm just not ready or willing to do 
that, even if it means postponing the project or doing it in a much more 
painstaking way.
