Hi again Patrick.
This, too, is
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1065534. Turns
out it has nothing to do with keyecho settings; it has to do with text
insertion events coming from an object which either shouldn't be
emitting those events at all or should report an index in parent of -1
like it used to.
Thanks!

Hello,
I have approximatly the same behavior without any key echo on
messages.google.com/web when composing a message, except for the key
I
just pressed but the label and content are repeated on each key
press.
Hop this helps,
Patrick

Hello,
Environment:
- Debian 10
- Orca master
- Google Chrome Unstable 83.0.4093.3-1 launch like this:
/usr/bin/google-chrome-unstable %U --enable-caret-browsing
This issue occurs since I've upgraded from Google Chrome Unstable
82.0.4085.12 to 83.0.4093.3.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Launch Orca preferences, set all the boxes in key echo
preferences
2) Open this page <
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1560540>
3) Go on the form field to add a comment
4) Type letters slowly to hear the Orca announcement
Result:
Orca announces the letter twice and the label and repeat the whole
field content.
Expected:
Orca should only announce the typed letter.
Best regards.
