Re: [orca-list] Ubuntu 20.04: issues with locking screen

From my notes, lines starting with # are comment lines and those without
are command lines:
# disable screen locking in gnome and mate:
gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power idle-dim false
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.session idle-delay 0

Best done as root in gnome-terminal and maybe repeated in user account
too.

Hi,

Does the speech gone that you have to, say, restart yout PC?
Or, in my case, I have to press some random keys to get it talking again?

Also in my laptop, it happened if I left it for 30 minutes or more. I guess the screen saver kicks in.

Hi,

i am running Ubuntu 20.04 pre release with orca master.

Sometimes after successful login the speech output disappears. Is it a
known issue concerning Ubuntu 20.04 in combination with orca?

Thanks in advance!

Vladyslav
