If google were to fund production of braille reference cards for at
least docs sheets and chromevox by national braille press at least the
braille users would have a better entry point into those products since
random acceess reading is possible with braille.

I have a few precise questions after this discussion.
1, can I do formatting in google docs?? Can I navigate headings etc?
2, Are formula accessible with the spreadsheet?
3, what about presentations?? How far they are accessible in terms of
creating and presenting?

Hi, Janina!?? Although I'd never wish it on anyone, I do appreciate
being able to share the mystery.?? My wife is connected with a lot of
people who just *love* the thing, and I'm somewhat involved in one of
those groups.
Best!

Hi, Al:
I do understand your frustration. I find Google Docs pretty frustrating
whatever OS and screen reader combo I try, and I've tried several.
It seems it's just it's own specialized skill, with lots of keyboard
shortcuts one would have to become proficient with to get anywhere near
similar access. I don't particularly have the inclination to give Google
Docs that much of my life, but circumstances may yet push me there.
Best,
Janina

Janina, thank you for that information.?? I tried several times over
the
weekend to use a Google Docs spreadsheet and each time drew a complete
blank.
Best!

Hi, Krishnakant:
In addition to the tip to use Chromium already posted, let me offer to
additional suggestions:
1.)??? The biggest problem for using Google Docs, imo, is that you
need
to learn an entire library of unique keyboard commands in order to use
their products effectively. This has lead me to collect some bookmarks
which I will now share:

2.)??? If all else fails, or you need a quick fix, saving your Google
Docs file in Microsoft format will let you import it into
LibreOffice. I
understand there are extensions (and other strategies) that offer
direct
import/export to LibreOffice, but I have no direct experience of
those.
I would be curious to hear about that, should anyone have that kind of
experience.
Googling for '+libreoffice +"Google Docs"'
yields some fascinating reads.
Best wishs, and hth,
Janina

Hello all.
I will have to use google docs in a couple of days for some
collaboration work.
I don't wish to use any other technologies just for this sake.
So I wish to know the state of accessibility with Orca.
Can I edit documents?
What about spreadsheets?
