Re: [orca-list] Opens List Box is heard when focusing on "to" field in Gmail

Hi,

Confirmed with Orca master, Ubuntu 20.04, Google Chrome unstable. I see how it might be confusing, but it is an autocomplete field. Maybe changing the hint/role to autocomplete field would help more.

Hello,

When composing a new message and focus is on the "to" field, the verbalization "opens list box" is heard. To reproduce, do the following:

  1. 1. Open Gmail in Chrome browser with --force-renderer-accessibility flag set and Orca running from master.
  2. Navigate to Gmail.
  3. Press c to compose a new message, and listen to what is verbalized.

Expected: When focus is on the "to" field, this is announced to users.

Actual: When focus is on the "to"< field, the extra verbosity which states "opens list box" is spoken. Even if this was some sort of hint, it does not indicate what a user is to do, and is not a very helpful utterance.
