Hi Joanie.
In orca preferences the "speak child position" option was enabled. As
soon as I unchecked this option the position of the item is no longer
informed.
Thanks.

Hey José.
Is there any chance that you have "speak child position" enabled in
your Orca preferences? The speaking of child position was something I
recently added. And if I uncheck "speak child position" in the Orca
preferences, I do not hear it.
The position "3 of 6" is wrong, so that I will fix.

Hi all.
To reproduce try the following steps.
1. Launch FF and go to https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/orca/issues.
2. After the page loads press alt + ctrl + h to display the header list.
Expected:
Orca should announce the number of items as well as the first item on
the list.
Got:
Orca announces the number of items, the first item in the list, and
reads the item's position as 3 of 6.
There is the same behavior for other elements like links, lists,
buttons and etc.
The problem only happens if I am using orca compiled from the master
branch.
Thanks.
