Hey Chrys!

Thank you for not forgetting about ocrdesktop. Really: both ocrdesktop 
and ocrpdf are very useful tools.
In Ubuntu 18.04, the language data is here:

/usr/share/tesseract-ocr/4.00/tessdata/
