Re: [orca-list] 1st Orca issue: address bar in Firefox in braille

So I have updated Orca to handle Firefox Nightly's address bar better in braille. As long as you're really in the text of the bar, that is what Orca should show you in addition to speaking it. Hard to say if that's a bug in Firefox or just a slightly unexpected accessibility tree change. <insert shrug here>

Related: If Orca goes completely silent while you're in the address bar or popup, there's an excellent chance you wound up in the list of search engines at the bottom. That seems to not give us the events we need to present your new location. I just filed that here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1570482.

Thanks again!

I can confirm this with Firefox Nightly, but I get braille as expected with Firefox stable. Not yet sure if it's a bug in Firefox or just a change in UI. Will look into it. Thanks!

Hi,

Master and nightly: press alt-d, enter an URL (or copy-and-paste).

While the character per character work in braille, the URL nearly never apears in braille. When it appears, it appears not formed properly. I use e10s.

Probably a Firefox regression but dont know how to fill bug or wether orca can do something or not.
