Hi Nimer.
I'm afraid I have questions rather than answers.
1. When I use / in google drive, google drive consumes that command so I
don't wind up in the Firefox quick find. I wind up in Drive's own search
widget where I can type a string and up/down arrow. Orca has nothing to
do with this. It's the same behavior I get when Orca isn't running. So,
are you sure you're in quick find?
I definitely get brought to quick find. This is, again, with a vanilla install on both Fedora and Ubuntu... so odd, wish I knew why this was!!
2. If instead I use find in page (Ctrl+F), which should work in more or
less the same fashion as Firefox's quick find, here's what happens for
me: As I type, Orca presents the line of text which matches the search
(which it is notified of via selection changes). So are you saying Orca
shouldn't do that? Or something else?
3. What do you mean by persists once you clear the search and begin
navigating folders?
As for why it's happening: With the other issues you have reported when
using Drive, I'm afraid I'm not seeing them. I also noticed that someone
else indicated he wasn't seeing them. Thus I believe something is
different and unique on your system than is present on mine.
Sorry I cannot just fix these problems for you! Hopefully we can figure
out what's going on in your environment.
