Hi Nimer.
I'm afraid I have questions rather than answers.
1. When I use / in google drive, google drive consumes that command so I
don't wind up in the Firefox quick find. I wind up in Drive's own search
widget where I can type a string and up/down arrow. Orca has nothing to
do with this. It's the same behavior I get when Orca isn't running. So,
are you sure you're in quick find?
2. If instead I use find in page (Ctrl+F), which should work in more or
less the same fashion as Firefox's quick find, here's what happens for
me: As I type, Orca presents the line of text which matches the search
(which it is notified of via selection changes). So are you saying Orca
shouldn't do that? Or something else?
3. What do you mean by persists once you clear the search and begin
navigating folders?
As for why it's happening: With the other issues you have reported when
using Drive, I'm afraid I'm not seeing them. I also noticed that someone
else indicated he wasn't seeing them. Thus I believe something is
different and unique on your system than is present on mine.
Sorry I cannot just fix these problems for you! Hopefully we can figure
out what's going on in your environment.

Hello,
I am able to get Drive.google to speak perfectly with Orca if I first do
the following:
1. Navigate to drive.google.com <http://drive.google.com>
2. Enter focus mode.
3. Press / to enter quick find, type search and press enter.
4. Press enter again to access search, and type a file name or a word or
something to search for.
At this point, Orca begins reporting the items on drive.google.com
<http://drive.google.com> and persists once I clear the search and begin
navigating folders. I wonder why this is happening? This is not the case
with any other screen reading combination that I have tried, including
NVDA, JAWS, Chromevox, and Voiceover.
Thanks.
