Hello Everyone,
I am new to Linux and Orca, so bare with me as I try to get through this journey. I am coming from the world
of both Windows and Mac, so learning a new operating system is not completely foreign to me, but there is
still a bit of a learning curve as you can probably imagine. I do have a question that I can’t seem to solve
on my own, and have been doing searches to try and figure out if anyone else has had similar issues. If I
have missed something, please feel free to point me to the correct thread. In several cases, for example
when you try to install an extension into Firefox / TOR, an alert comes up saying that TOR Browser has
prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer. While Orca seems to read this
notification automatically when it pops up, I seem to be unable to access the notification so I can click the
allow or install button. I happen to know that I can press alt+A, but what about for other random alerts
that may pop up? When trying to use flat review, there doesn’t seem to be anything except for what Orca
refers to as a menu bar and some other extensions that have already been added. But the actual text of the
alert and corresponding buttons do not seem to be visible. I have tried tabbing around the screen, but I
seem to just keep going to the address bar and the list of opened tabs. If it matters, I am using Tails on a
flash drive. This seems like such a basic problem, so I really feel stupid for this being my first question
to the list. If anyone has thoughts or like I said, feel free to point me to a thread that already has
discussed this question, I’m all ears. Thanks in advance, and please be patient :) .
Regards,
Cory
