Hi,
System: Ubuntu 19.04, Mate 1.20.3, Orca master.
When in notable applications such as Mate terminal and Writer, it feels
like Orca lags slightly behind keyboard typing. For instance, when
typing very long commands in the terminal at a high rate of speed,
typing cuts speech off from announcing the current characters being
typed. In theory, someone could type so fast that Orca never announces
anything at all.
1. Open a terminal window.
2. At a high rate of speed, start typing something. Make sure the
command doesn't do anything to prevent accidental ddeath of your system.
I recommend typing garbage for this test.
Actual result: Orca stops talking if the typing speed gets fast enough.
Expected results: Orca should announce the characters as they are typed.
TB is a good example of what to expect.
