Could you give me a simple way to reproduce that bug please in the Mate 
environment? I think the issue comes from window activate/deactivate 
event we've deactivate by default on GTK 3.24 when a keyboard shortcut 
is pressed.

If you provide me something to deal with I could imagine to see what we 
can do to figure out such issues.
