In Ubuntu 16.04, running the Gnome desktop, you can arrow around to the 
windows you have open and press enter to jump to that window.


You can also hit alt+control+tab once to get into the dash and your list 
of favorite apps. Pressing alt+control+tab two more times will take you 
into the list of applications on your system.
