I had heard of this as well, but also never made or received a call 
successfully. I could try it out, but I'm pretty busy with work these 
days, so it may be a while before I actually get to it. I never got it 
working fully, but the thing I liked the least was that I absolutely had 
to have a contact list and copy/paste Ring ID's, including my own, as 
they're quite long and not at all human readable, and when they set up 
experimental shorter more human readable usernames, they couldn't even 
survive uninstall/reinstall of the app on some devices. But that was 
nothing compared to the fact that I just couldn't get it working the 
last time I tried it, although that was over 2 years ago, so it's likely 
updated quite a bit since then.
