Hi Bituukumar,
I am testing Fedora 28 with Gnome right now in a virtual machine.
I know you use Ubuntu not Fedora, but I post this as the issue seems
to be with GNOME.
It seems that this desktop be very memory hungry.
With just one terminal opened "free -m reports 1381 MB used, which
is a lot.
So if you have a machine with say less the 4 GB RAM this could be
one of the reasons of the lag?
As an aside I truly hate the GNOME desktop, especially the applications
menu. I don't know the one shipped in Ubuntu but maybe you would have
more success with Ubuntu-Mate? Sorry for the off-topic.
Maybe I will like better GNOME-classic, will try now.
Best regards,
Didier

Hello,
Orca still response very late after updating the orca master.
steps to reproduce:
1: press super+A
2: use any navigation key or Tab to navigate throughout all application
hear Orca will response very late, it will not speak any thing except
[windo] then after 10 to 15 S it will announce whereever the focus is.
if I type the name or first few letters of the application that I
want, still it takes time to speak.
I am not able to understan that, what is this issue? is it with Orca or Gnome?
Using: Ubuntu 18.04 with Gnome. Orca master [last updated yesterday]
