I never had any problems with VMware Player on Vinux, which is an Ubuntu 
based distribution, but I haven't been able to get it to work on Ubuntu 
16.04. It doesn't crash, but Orca just goes silent whenever I go into 
the VMware Player window. I'd still like to get it working, but Googling 
hasn't turned up an answer for me yet.


In the meantime, I plan to give KVM and virt-manager a look.
