Hi Raphael,
I would love to migrate from Skype, seeing how it moves away from
accessibility. Unfortunately, my office use Skype extensively for
communication.
At the moment I don't have a choice.
Thank you for your alternative suggestion. I also look into team talk
(http://bearware.dk/) which seems popular among visually impaired users.
I guess at the moment I still need to boot my windows box just for skype
(haha)
Best Regards

Is there any accessible skype for linux?
The one that I use seems bbased on Electron framework, which is
inaccessible in linux.
Alternative would be using Skype extension for Chrome Browser with
Chrome Vox installed. But Skype seems put limit on connection made
using this extension as I mostly get "Connection not available right
now".
You don't need any extension. Just connect to web.skype.com.
I also use pidgin with skype plugin but it only works for text base
messaging.
Currently I have to boot into my Windows VM and run Skype with NVDA.
I'd love to work exclusively in Linux.
Why don't use any alternative like meet.jit.si, which require just a
web browser?
Regards,
Raphaël
