I just tried to reproduce the Amazon issue using Orca master and Firefox
nightly. I was able to type in my complete email address (my personal,
gmail one, which is much longer in terms of characters). At no time did
I exit focus mode. If you can reliably reproduce this, please capture a
full debug.out so I can see what is triggering your return to browse
mode. Thanks!

Seen a few reports of this recently. Firefox nightly and Orca master
don't seem to stay in focus mode when typing into a search field.
For instance, go to amazon.com and try to sign in at the signin link
(I'd post a direct link, but it's ugly. :) Tab to the Email/phone field
if it doesn't autofocus, then ensure you're in focus mode. Type an
email. As soon as you type @, you're somehow out of focus mode and have
attempted to navigate to the previous header. The only way to enter text
in this field is to obsessively change back to Focus mode after each
character.
Thanks!
