Re: [orca-list] orca on raspbian?

Hi Norman,

What do you mean orca cannot start? Did it crash right after you run it or it ran but no audio?

If the latter, you may wanna try this for system audio check:

  • plug in your speaker/headphone in 3.5mm Raspberry audio jack
  • run the following command:
    • espeak "wonderful" # you may need to install espeak package if not there already
  • If you hear espeak speaking then audio is working fine

Best Regards

Hello.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

I have a raspberry pi with raspbianĀ  stretch but can't get orca to start.

Any tips on where and how to start fixing this? This is a new image so can trash it if i need to and start over.

Thoughts/suggestions anyone?
