Re: [orca-list] Where to find auto talking Arch?

You could modify that wget -bc command to wget -bc --tries=inf followed
by the url. A disconnection will cause wget to reconnect and attempt to
resume your download.

Since the sha got mentioned....I ran into something weird. I got it fine with
the wget -bc earlier and had the issues I mentioennd. If I try and download it
via browser, it fails but I can resume. If I try via regular wget,it fails as
well. This is on 100/100 speed internet for up/download and DLing at well
above 2mb/s. Not sure why it's failing them but it always seems to fail for me
around 80% of the DL'd file.

Since the original Talking Arch was mentioned in this thread, I tried to
see
what the latest release was there. I don't know if what's wrong is on my
end
or on the site, but below is what I got.

??? Hey all, trying this in vbox and....nothing happens. Is it only
working
on
actual hardware or did I just not wait long enough, I fire up a VM with
it
on,
nada, no display, no speech, this is using virtualbox so I'm not sure if
I
broke it or if it's just not a fan of virtualbox.

I infer that I can't use it as a live DVD, that it goes straight into
install
mode. Is that correct, thus the "auto"? Thanks!

get
an installed system of your choice on that hard drive and you remove

auto-installs, they'll be far more easy to instal than is
talkingarch.

Hi,

2 years ago, someone posted information about Auto talking Arch to
the
Orca
list. The link was:

https://copy.com/XStZ6r7HLunN9jF0

but the service copy.com was discontinued. I can't find any home
page
for
this
project, I know talking arch, but I want to try this distro. Do
someone
know
status of auto talking Arch?

Thanks,

Pavel
