You may find it useful to do a system update, could be your gpg keys are
too outdated to connect.

Since the original Talking Arch was mentioned in this thread, I tried to see
what the latest release was there. I don't know if what's wrong is on my end
or on the site, but below is what I got.

Try hitting enter once then wait. You do need to have a sound card

??? Hey all, trying this in vbox and....nothing happens. Is it only working
on
actual hardware or did I just not wait long enough, I fire up a VM with it
on,
nada, no display, no speech, this is using virtualbox so I'm not sure if I
broke it or if it's just not a fan of virtualbox.

If memory serves, the menu has an entry on it to execute a shell as

I infer that I can't use it as a live DVD, that it goes straight into
install
mode. Is that correct, thus the "auto"? Thanks!

That gets burned to a dvd then a clean hard drive in a machine and
that
dvd will when booted bring up an installation menu. You key in one of
the letters to the left of your choice and hit enter and then listen to
what happens and answer questions as you go. At the end of it you get
an installed system of your choice on that hard drive and you remove
label and protect the dvd and reboot the machine. Since these are
auto-installs, they'll be far more easy to instal than is talkingarch.

I used your command suggestion and think I got the right thing.
Where,
though, can I get information on using it? Thanks!

I think you'll find AutoTalkingArch very much alive and more current

Hi,
2 years ago, someone posted information about Auto talking Arch to
the
Orca
list. The link was:
https://copy.com/XStZ6r7HLunN9jF0
but the service copy.com was discontinued. I can't find any home
page
for
this
project, I know talking arch, but I want to try this distro. Do
someone
know
status of auto talking Arch?
Thanks,
Pavel
