Re: [orca-list] Adobe Flash

Hello,

Adobe flash is not accessible on linux and it won't ever be like so.
I'm not sure but I think you can get past the Firefox dialog to enable flash somehow. Perhaps space would work on that Allow button, I'm not sure.
If flash is used for video display and there are html controls allowing you to control that player you might be able to get it working. If you do need full interaction with the flash content then as I said this will not be possible.

Greetings

Peter

I can't unfortunately give out the website I'm using, as it's part of my TV provider, and is password protected. Even if I did! give yall the login, it wouldn't work, as it's tied to my IP address.

Anyway, in Firefox, I bring up the page for watching live TV through my provider. They do indeed use Flash, which stinks, but OK, whatever.

I get a popup alert plugin window in Firefox telling me Flash is enabled on their website, and it gives the URL.

When I tab, I see a block plugin button, and a continue allowing button. So I've tabbed to the continue allowing button. This is not working. Regardless me hitting enter, spacebar, or clicking with flat review, the alert stays on the screen, and the flash content won't continue loading.

How am I supposed to do this.

I know for a fact that this website works with Firefox at least on Windows with NVDA, as I do it all the time over there.

I just figured I'd try to see how good the accessibility would be over here on Linux with Orca.

Anyway, thanks for any tips. As I said, I'm sorry I can't give you all the exacts of the website.

Chris.
