Many thanks Joanie. I was waiting for an Orca upgrade since I add
ppa:accessibility-dev/ppa to my system.

Hi Milton.
I believe the issue is related to Thunderbird switching to Gtk+ 3 and
Orca already works around it. But you'll have to upgrade Orca to a more
recent version.

Hi,
I just want to inform you that all of a sudden Orca repeats the line or
character when moving with the arrow keys. I use Ubuntu 16.04.2,
Thunderbird 52.1, Orca 3.20.3. When tabbing away and back to the message
all is fine. So I can live with this. I notice this behaviour after I
heard Orca says Thunderbird was updating its addons.
