I've decided to give xfce a shot as that's what voidlinux recommends for
a desktop because of gnome and kde's dependance on systemd which void
does not use. I've taken another shot at setting up lightdm and i'm
having the same problems we've had before lightdm does enable the screen
reader or rather loads it but then doesn't speak anything beyond that.
it also does not load the xfce session and neither of us can figure out
why. note i'm using lightdm with the lightdm-gtk3-greeter. If anyone can
shed some light on any of this behavior i'd appreciate it.`
one other question here. does anyone know of a way to get orca to start
with xfce? so far as i know the answer to this is no but i'm hoping
that this has changed and i'm just missing something in my research.
