Unfortunately it does: when opening a menu, it will announce the item twice:

1. open e.g. Pluma
2. press Alt+f to open the File menu

expected result:

"File menu, New, Control+N"

actual result:

"File menu, New, Control+N, File menu, New, Control+N"

Similarly, when navigating inside a menu and selecting an item opening a
submenu, the menu is re-announced:

1. open Pluma
2. open the View menu (e.g. Alt+v)
3. press UpArrow to focus the last element, which has a sub-menu

expected result:

"Highlight mode menu"

actual result:

"Highlight mode menu, View menu, Highlight mode menu"

This applies both to GTK3 and GTK2 applications.  It doesn't happen if I
use Orca at 9c654e4f8c7b3d80cba85ce7b20c8a3bbe2eed57 (e.g. what I
believe is the last commit before these changes).
