Yes, the problem is caused because eclipse is running with gtk-3.

You can change to gtk-2 editing the eclipse.ini file.

Look for '--launcher.defaultAction' and compare with the following:

--launcher.defaultAction
openFile
--launcher.appendVmargs
--launcher.GTK_version
2

The magic is the parameter  --launcher.GTK_version, the value must be set to 2.

I use eclipse with orca but after eclipse has changed to gtk3, the accessibility has gone.

But it is possible run latest eclipse using gtk2.

My actual distro is arch linux.
