[orca-list] orca goes silent when i switch away and come back to an application

Hi,

orca 3.22.1, gnome shell that comes on vinux 5. i openedterminal, and 
nautilus file manager, after making the terminal do it's job 
(downloading pidgin), i switched     away to the nautilus file manager. 
but when i come back to the terminal, orca stops speaking. orca commands 
not working i guess, because if i press capslock and enter, nothing. 
same for the capslock plus t. but if i alt tab away from it, orca will 
speak. is this a know bugg? or because i am using ubuntu 14.04?
