Re: [orca-list] orca-list Digest, Vol 143, Issue 18

Hello,
Sadly I can't write to the orca-mailinglist anymore. I have tried to
change the passwd, deleting my subscription etc but nothing seemed to
work. Actually I am still subscribed even though I had a confirmation
that my subscribtion has been canceled from the managing website.

Since I don't really want to cancel my subscribtion and just be able
to discuss on the mailinglist again I don't mind the E-Mail-summeries
but I am really confused why sending to the Mailinglist just throwes
errors at me.

Help would be appreciated.

Greetings from Germany

Dennis

I believe both issues are addressed. What I changed was to handle a
potential edge case. The worst case is if that edge case is not
addressed, Orca will repeat something. That's better than a crash.

Hello,

Orca is now responsive when using Gmail again.

Frankly I'm getting lost in the chain of issues and their workarounds
that I can't really say if we are in a good state now.

Are both issues supposed to be addressed now, i.e. the one raised by
Alex and the freezing / crash I have pointed out?

Thanks and greetings

Hello Krishnakant,

Unfortunately I don't find any way to obtain an old Ubuntu package.
You can install Orca 3.22 with the patch but not 3.20. The Ubuntu
version of Orca 3.22 is available here :
https://packages.ubuntu.com/zesty/all/gnome-orca/download
HI Alex,
Problem is not with Orca, I already compiled it.
The problem is with the unity fixes which Luke had made and there were
in the accessibility ppa for Ubuntu 16.04.
happy hacking.
