Hi Tyna,
If you could get debug symbols for at-spi2-core and at-spi2-atk, then that
would be helpful. Looking at your backtrace, the crash comes from
at-spi2-atk, not pidgin.
Are you using at-spi2-core and at-spi2-atk from master?
I just tried for a few minutes to reproduce the crash but haven't been
able to; not sure if my set-up is different somehow or if I just didn't
try for long enough.

Hi,
I recompiled pidgin with the debug symbols present this time, also libpurple.
I'm now trying to reproduce it, because it's hard. It's totally random, and
yes it happens when you restart orca. It'll say screen reader on and if you
alt+tab around you'll see your pidgin windows are gone. I am running orca
master on ratpoison, I don't use gnome, on ArchLinux.
Thanks !

Hi Tyna,
It looks as though gdb didn't load the core. Did you pass "--core
<filename>" when starting gdb (<filename> being the name of your core
file)?
Also, it might help if you install debuginfo packages for libatk-bridge and
possibly libdbus.
In the meantime, I'll see if I can reproduce. Does the crash happen as soon
as you restart orca? What version of GNOME and pidgin are you using?
Thanks,
-Mike

Hi,
I guess I'm stuck. Using that command didn't help at all, gdb is now
complaining there are no symbole tables so it only prit question marks.
Guess I'll have to go and run pidgin in gdb...
