Hi Joanie and Rynhardt,
In Arch Linux Liblouis compiled without enable-ucs4 flag, but Python3
and Python default compiled with UCS4 support.
In Arch the liblouis package PKGBUILD file in the configure section
missing the --enable-ucs4 option.
Look following bug report:
https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/44319#comment144517
Manjaro level this issue is already solved in Liblouis package PKGBUILD
file, but ARCH developers doesn't applied the attached patch yet.
Debian and Ubuntu source package in the debian/rules file in compilation
part package maintainers using the --enable-ucs4 option, so this issue
doesn't happening with Debian based distributions.
Attila
